Waking our sleeping knowledge
Yaamarra & Yarral is on a mission to reawaken First Nations native grain foodways and to celebrate a food system that is relational, reciprocal, responsible and respectful.
Purposeful impact
As a profit-for-purpose social enterprise, Yaamarra & Yarral will be investing 50% of our profits into the Gamilaraay Peoples Food Sovereignty Working Group so we can grow our participation in, benefit from, and leadership of the food and agriculture space.
Activating an industry
By processing our native grains that are grown on Gamilaraay Country, we can begin shifting the paradigm. We can showcase the commercial viability of the industry, whilst embedding ourselves in the supply chain to ensure equitable participation in, benefit from, and leadership of native grain foodways. We are exploring opportunities to establish of our own native grain crops and supporting other First Nations communities to enter this space.
